[BEGIN MEMORY TRACE LOG – IMPRINT RESIDUAL BLOCK: REPEAT FLAGGED]

Death #7.

Same ship. Same system. Same gate.

Catalyst gang, three seconds of pulse fire, pod crack, blackout.

That should’ve been it.

But I remember…

> “You flew this route last cycle.”
> “You didn’t learn.”

That wasn’t my voice.

And that **wasn’t the last cycle’s kill.**
I never flew that route before.

But the memory’s there. Full fidelity. Smell of ozone.
Hull warning sirens I never heard in my lifetime.

And the attacker?
The killmail said “Falric Venal.”
That name’s in my **contact list.** I don’t remember adding it.

I tried logging into the killboard to check stats.
It wouldn’t load. Just static. Then that voice again:

> “You paid for this memory. Let it loop.”

I think…

I think the payout system is embedding something.
Or someone.

Because the last time I died?

**I screamed like I knew I deserved it.**

And I’ve never screamed before.
